Our trip packages are a complete, custom-built trip planning document specific to your adventure. It includes all modules relevant to your selected travel mode — weather along your route, gear and loadout-specific recommendations, vehicle considerations, maps and GPX files, emergency contacts, safety recommendations, and more.

It's delivered to you as a PDF that you can download and use offline. We'll keep it updated for you until the day of your trip to ensure you have current data.

Currently, TripTrax is build around four core modes: Hike, Road Trip, RV, and Overland.

Together, these modes cover the vast majority of user needs, however, we do plan to add more options in the near future.

At its core, TripTrax is a subscription-based platform. We offer monthly and annual subscriptions, which start at $9.99/mo or $99.99/yr. These subscriptions unlock the full power of our services. Without an active membership, our advanced planning tools, Scout AI — our intelligent AI engine — and our upcoming Forum feature are not available for use.

However, you are free to use our Explore mapping feature and browse our articles, adventure recommendations, and knowledge base sections.

TripTrax sits in a different category. While some features may overlap, TripTrax exists primarily as a pre-trip planning and route-intelligence platform.

Some applications excel once you're already outside — precise navigation, live tracking, local trail discovery. TripTrax's mission is different: We get you outside faster, more often, and better informed. We're not here to replace the tools you already use; we're here to power the planning processes that happen before you even turn them on so you can use them more efficiently.

Very accurate. Scout is custom-engineered to support your adventure, and is excellent at quickly gathering and organizing all information pertinent to your trip.

AI are not without fault, however, and so all packages come standard with expert human review by our Route Analysts. This double-layered approach minimizes the chance for errors on all packages.

We aim to provide our users with the best possible experience. Our packages undergo extensive quality assurance and quality control; however, we do understand that both AI and humans make errors. If you have identified errors or omissions, we'd be happy to take a look.
